We offer personalized job search programs, one-on-one coaching, and a suite of digital resources to empower our clients in securing higher-paying industry positions efficiently. We also offer digital programs for universities to help their students and faculty attain non-academic careers. We are seeking a proactive PhD student or postdoc to gain business development experience. The primary responsibility is to establish collaborations with universities and postdoctoral associations while generating B2C leads through cold outreach to postdocs and PhD students. Reporting to the CEO, this position offers hands-on experience in business development and outreach within a startup company.
B2B Partnerships: Identify and evaluate potential university partners and postdoctoral associations; initiate cold outreach to career services offices and graduate schools; analyze institutions to understand their career support infrastructure and synergies with Alma.me's services.
B2C Direct Outreach: Build lists of postdocs and PhD students across universities; conduct cold outreach via email, LinkedIn, and academic platforms to increase awareness of Alma.me; connect with graduate student organizations and PhD forums; nurture leads through follow-up communication.
General: Maintain organized databases of B2B partners and B2C leads; monitor outreach campaign effectiveness and report on key metrics; collaborate with the CEO and operations team; contribute to creating compelling outreach messaging for different audiences.
Required skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for cold outreach and relationship building; analytical abilities to conduct research and inform strategies; detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns; self-motivated with proactive approach to identifying opportunities; comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships from scratch; empathy to authentically connect with fellow PhD students and postdocs regarding career transition challenges.
