SIGRID THERAPEUTICS (SIGRID)

Target Group: Postdocs and Researchers

About Sigrid Therapeutics (Sigrid)

Sigrid Therapeutics is a Swedish biotech company dedicated to pioneering innovative solutions to
address the global rise in metabolic diseases such as prediabetes, diabetes, and obesity. With over 15 years of research, 10+ patents, and results from 3 clinical trials, we have developed a first-in-class platform technology based on precisely engineered porous silica particles.
At Sigrid, we take pride in our diverse and multidisciplinary team, drawing expertise from fields such as physiology and material sciences, with strong clinical and commercial capabilities.

The project

Sigrid is actively advancing several research projects, each with a distinct objective. These projects
include experimental work related to patents, studies required by authorities such as the notified body, and evidence generation to support business growth. In addition, Sigrid conducts exploratory and innovative experimental studies aimed at further expanding the potential applications of our platform technology. The projects include investigating the effects of Sigrid’s patented porous silica particles in both in vitro and in vivo settings. The successful candidate will primarily conduct experiments using established in-house methods and assays, while also contributing to the design and execution of new experiments needed to further advance our ground-breaking research.

Location: Sigrid Therapeutics Research Facility

Time period: Starting April 2026 (full-time)

The Candidate

This project is intended for postdoctoral researchers for a 3-month internship.
We are seeking a candidate with a research background in diabetes and/or metabolic diseases. A valid permit to work with laboratory animals in Europe (e.g., FELASA certification) is highly desirable. Experience in areas such as the microbiome and bacterial culture techniques is considered a plus.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Strong hands-on laboratory experience in biochemical assays and related methods
  • Solid understanding of experimental work in both in vitro and in vivo models
  • Competence in data analysis and interpretation
  • A proactive and creative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and solve
    experimental challenges in innovative ways
