CubaseBio is a Stockholm-based spatial biology company, founded by innovators in science and technology to build tools that reveal biology in three dimensions. Our solution enables true 3D spatial analysis at scale, unlocking unprecedented biological insights and accelerating drug discovery.

The project

At  Cubase Bio, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to

develop cutting-edge NGS library preparation methods for Spatial Biology. You will apply your expertise to optimize our molecular biology workflow and integrate it into our complete spatial biology assay.

You will drive assay innovation, overcome technical challenges, and deliver reproducible, high-quality results that will advance our research and product pipeline. Additionally, you will aid in the exploration of new avenues of applications within our product development pipeline.

By the end of the internship, you will gain hands-on experience in a goal-oriented R&D lab driven by commercial applications and experience the product development cycle within a small R&D-driven Biotech startup.

Location: Stockholm, KI Campus Solna

Time period: Full time, January-March (To be discussed)

The candidate

• Strong background in molecular biology, including PCR, qPCR, nucleic acid purification, PAGE, and agarose gel electrophoresis.
• Deep knowledge of DNA modification enzymes, their applications, and limitations.
• Proven experience in oligonucleotide/probe design for PCR.
• Hands-on experience with NGS technologies, especially library preparation.
• Experience in assay development for single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial sequencing, or in situ assays.
• Demonstrated ability to design and troubleshoot complex experiments with appropriate controls.
• Strong record of productivity and effectiveness in the laboratory.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
