About the company
Impli is developing the first implantable biosensing medical device for continuous, real-time hormone monitoring, solving one of IVF’s most entrenched pain points: lack of precise, ongoing hormone data. The current standard, multiple blood draws per week over several weeks, is not only invasive and inconvenient but also delivers data that is too sparse to capture the dynamic hormonal shifts critical to successful fertility treatment.
Our sensor targets oestradiol, LH, and progesterone in the subcutaneous interstitial fluid, offering clinicians a much more accurate view of hormone levels across an entire cycle. This allows for better dosing decisions, improved treatment timing, and earlier intervention, all while reducing the physical and emotional toll on patients.
Our mission is to make biochemical sensing more accessible, continuous, and actionable, starting with hormone monitoring. Our vision begins in reproductive and hormonal health, where current diagnostics still rely on infrequent blood draws and time-limited lab tests that miss the body’s natural hormone fluctuations. By enabling continuous monitoring of hormones like oestradiol, progesterone, and LH, our technology makes it possible to personalize care, catch early signs of treatment resistance, and reduce the need for repeated clinic visits.
The project
We are in the process of completing our in vitro qualification of our biosensors, and MVP device for measuring hormones in real time with a medical implant.
As the competitor landscape has changed since we started our development journey, we would like to update our market analysis and ensure our commercial offering is within scope for future IVF patients and clinics and ready for market.
Outcomes include:
Location: Lausanne, Switzerland
Time period: Full time, start date March 2026
The candidate
A scientifically strong, market-aware researcher who can critically analyze technology landscapes, synthesize insights across disciplines
