Medaffcon AB

Target group: Postdocs and researchers (3 months)

About the company

Medaffcon has over 15 years of experience in providing expert services to pharmaceutical companies, with expertise in health economic evaluations, pricing and reimbursement processes, real-world evidence (RWE) generation, and the development of risk-sharing models. Through its RWE projects, Medaffcon supports the generation and application of real-world data to better understand treatment outcomes, patient populations, and healthcare resource utilization.

The project

Larger RWE projects are conducted as full research studies and typically include obtaining ethical approval, developing study protocols, applying for and collecting national register and hospital data, conducting statistical analyses, and preparing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals. Medaffcon operates in both Finland and Sweden, with a focus on the broader Nordic market.

During the second half of 2025 and early 2026, Medaffcon will be involved in several full-scale RWE projects in Sweden. These projects will be in the data collection and analysis phases and will involve tasks such as initial data quality control, organizing register and hospital data, and conducting statistical analyses. Analyses may include the production of descriptive statistics, survival and mortality analyses, and healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) etc. Other tasks may include contact with data holders in Sweden, preparing data applications, and finding solutions to analytical problems.

Location: Stockholm, The Park Forskaren

Time period: The project timeline is flexible, but we prefer to start as early as possible in the autumn.

The candidate

The tasks will be primarily focused on data analysis and will require familiarity with statistical methods and tools. Tasks may also be related to project management. Relevant qualifications and skills include:

  • Experience with data analysis in R (required)
  • Experience working with hospital data and/or national register data (e.g., the patient register, prescribed drug register)
  • Additional skills in statistics or computer science are considered an asset
  • Project management tasks, such as contact with data holders
