The project
The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the analytical method development for
single-stranded DNA quantification, working both hands-on in the lab and in close collaboration with the Process and Production Teams. This work will play a critical role in establishing a robust and reliable quality control (QC) panel to support GMP-compliant manufacturing processes.

The project framework: Quantification of Single-Stranded DNA Products

Objective:
Establish and validate robust analytical methods to quantify single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) products and related process-derived subproducts across various unit operations in the manufacturing process, with a focus on supporting GMP-readiness through development of a comprehensive QC panel.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Lead the development and optimization of quantitative PCR (qPCR) for accurate and
reproducible quantification of ssDNA products of varying complexity.

● Ensure the developed methods are fit-for-purpose across different stages of the production
process, including in-process and final product testing.

● Perform hands-on laboratory work to generate high-quality data, including method qualification
and troubleshooting.

The candidate:

PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline.

Required Expertise:
● Demonstrated, hands-on experience in qPCR assay development, optimization, and data
analysis is essential.

● Strong understanding of nucleic acid chemistry, ssDNA quantification challenges, and method
performance criteria (e.g., sensitivity, specificity, LOD/LOQ).

Additional Responsibilities (Highly Valued):

● Proven expertise in developing and executing assays for DNA or mRNA or nucleic acid related
products Experience/Familiarity with downstream unit operations (Chromatography, TFF and
HPLC).

● Experience in Microbial Culture, Cell Culture and basic Aseptic Operations.
