About Molecular Attraction  

Molecular Attraction is a biotechnology company developing sustainable solutions for controlling vector-borne diseases by modifying insect and pest behavior. We aim to create effective and environmentally friendly products for better mosquito control. Our formulations contain attractants, phagostimulants or natural mosquito pheromones. 

The project 

Our lead products are nearing the end of the R&D phase, and we are entering the business development stage. This means that our focus is shifting towards preparing for market entry in line with regulatory requirements. At the same time, we continue to conduct laboratory, semi-field and field trials to generate robust data for regulatory submissions.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoc or researcher who can work both independently and as part of a team and think creatively.

In this role, you will:

• Support the business development of two of our products.
• Contribute to the design and refinement of prototypes.
• Assist in mosquito behavior experiments in laboratory and semi-field experiments, for prototype testing and discovery purposes.
• Analyze data from laboratory and semi-field trials.
• Help identify and connect with potential partners and locations for additional field trials in the next mosquito season.

This internship offers hands-on experience at the crossroads of product development, business, and regulatory strategy within an innovative biotech environment.

Location and time period 

The internship will take place at Molecular Attraction’s office and laboratory in Huvudsta. The facilities are shared with three other biotechnology companies as well as Nordic Science Capital, providing excellent networking opportunities.

The start date is flexible, and the position is preferably full-time. It is a unique opportunity to gain insight into both the scientific and commercial aspects of bringing an innovative biotech product to market.

The candidate would preferably have 

• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• The capacity to work independently, while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Importantly, a genuine interest in fighting vector borne diseases and protecting the environment we all share and live in.
