The Global Epidemiology team’s mission is to advance patient health by enabling informed decision-making through generating reliable real-world evidence (RWE) on the safety and benefits of J&J products. 

 

The project 

The candidate will join the Epicenter, a group within the Global Epidemiology team, supporting RWE generation across therapeutic areas with solutions for real-world data (RWD) source identification, feasibility and study analytics.

The candidate will support the development and execution of a fit-for-purpose study feasibility assessment with external RWD sources and networks (e.g., EHDEN), which will include:

  • shortlisting potential fit-for-purpose data assets,
  • drafting the feasibility assessment protocol and feasibility analysis plan,
  • contributing to the writing of programming scripts (as needed),
  • liaising with internal cross-functional study teams and external data partners/providers,
  • contributing to the evaluation of the feasibility assessment results and database selection.

 

Expected deliverables: feasibility assessment plan (or feasibility assessment report, depending on the status of the project at the time of the internship).

Location: J&J Stockholm Office (Kolonnvägen 45, 170 67 Solna); possibility for partial remote work.

Time period: Q1 – Q2 2026 (TBD) on a full-time basis.

    

The candidate 

  • Holder of a PhD in epidemiology, public health, statistics or a related field.
  • Experience in designing epidemiological studies, including feasibility assessments.
  • Profound knowledge of different observational database designs and characteristics.
  • Good analytics skills and hands-on experience in analyzing real-world databases.
  • Proven experience in statistical programming using R; SQL would be a plus.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and networking skills; fluent oral and written English.
