About the company 

Magnephy is a life science startup combining advanced microscopy and AI to unlock the nanoscale of biology. The company was spun-off from KTH Royal Institute of Technology/SciLifeLab in 2023 based on almost 10 years of research. We offer our technology as a service to pharmaceutical companies to provide more precise quantitative information about in-tissue pharmaceutical efficacy, mechanism and targeting.  

 

Were we are heading 

Having completed several customer pilot projects, our main goals for 2025 is to gain new partnerships and improve our value proposition by deepening our understanding of the challenges pharmaceutical developers face from candidate compound to commercial drug. For this goal, we are looking for someone that is curious about commercialisation of innovation in the life science who wants to combine their scientific background with a more sales-oriented internship. 

 

What you will be doing as an intern 

  • Outbound Sales & Customer Discovery: Identify and reach out to potential customers, primarily in early-stage pharmaceutical development, to introduce Magnephy’s technology and assess their needs. 
  • Market Research & Interviews: Conduct structured interviews with pharmaceutical researchers, decision-makers, and industry experts to map out the value chain, identify pain points, and determine where Magnephy’s solution provides the most impact. 
  • Strategic Insights: Analyze findings to help shape and refine Magnephy’s business strategy. 

 

Location: 

Hybrid, Sting/SciLifeLab coworking space and/or distance. Other offices may be available at the time of the internship. 

 

Time period:

Ideally part-time for 2-3 months to make time for outreach and scheduling meetings. Start around June-Sept 2025 but the exact time frame is flexible based on the applicant’s preferences. 

 

We are looking for someone: 

  • With a background in biophysics, biology, pharmaceutics, biotechnology or similar. 
  • Fluent in English and with good presentation skills 
  • Curious about sales, business and commercialisation 
  • Proactive who enjoys reaching out to new people and drives projects forward
