Internship Opportunity – AI, health data and data science

Target group: Open to postdocs/researchers (2 months) and PhD students (1 month)

The company
Founded in 2024, AUWEAI stems from AI and mathematical research at KTH Royal Institute 
of Technology. We provide actionable insights to industry, hospitals, and academia, 
leveraging cutting-edge analytics and novel machine learning methodology for high-quality 
health data analysis in tailored RWE projects.

The Project
As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in RWE research, working with national health 
registries and clinical trial data and delivering projects directly to pharma clients. The specific 
project you’ll join will be carefully matched to your skills, interests and the timing of your 
internship to ensure exposure to a variety of. Example tasks:

• Extracting, processing, and analyzing health data from national registries
• Desk research
• Applying statistical and AI-driven methodologies to generate impactful insights
• Contributing to client-driven research projects in collaboration with industry partners
• Supporting the development of novel analytical techniques or patient data analytics

The Candidate
We seek a motivated intern with an interest in epidemiology, RWE, and statistics, ideally 
with:
• Background in biostatistics, epidemiology, or data science
• Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis
• Experience working with national health registries
• Proficiency in statistical software (R)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
