The project

This internship will take place at The Park, the new life science hub in Flemingsberg and next to Karolinska Institute, Karolinska University Hospital and several companies.

The time period for this internship is ideally 2 months part time (50%) and starting around mid-October/mid-March the earliest.

The aim of the project is to support the Head of Community at The Park, facilitating connections between companies, academia and the broader community and also by assisting with event planning and execution while enhancing member engagement.  Throughout the project, the intern will help organize and facilitate community events, engage with members and Network Leaders to gather feedback.  The intern will also contribute to developing long-term engagement strategies, including creating a communications plan for promoting events and community activities.  Additionally, the intern will assist in identifying potential corporate sponsors and partnerships to strengthen community growth.  Key deliverables include event support, engagement guides and a communication strategy.

The candidate

This internship is ideal for a PhD candidate or postdoc in the Life Sciences at Karolinska Institute.  Previous event management experience is a huge benefit.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with an ability to engage with academic, corporate and community members, will be essential. Familiarity with organizing events and fostering collaborative relationships is a key asset.
