Cirqle Biomedical a growing, dynamic biotech start-up team currently composed of 10 employees motivated to progress our novel non-hormonal contraceptive formulation from preclinical tests to clinical trials. The Project 

Cirqle’s mission is to launch a new era in contraception. We are working towards this goal by combining human-centered design and mucus engineering. We topically engineer mucus to reinforce the body’s own natural barrier, the cervical mucus. By making the cervical mucus impenetrable for sperm cells, it becomes impossible for sperm cells to reach the egg. This summer we partnered with Organon, a world-leading women’s health pharmaceutical company, in a $360M deal to progress the technology to human clinical trials. Cirqle was awarded the Index Award in 2021, dubbed the Nobel Prize of the design world, and has been featured by amongst others Forbes, CNN and Wired Magazine. The candidate

• Preparation of candidate formulations & performing quality control assays
• Performing in vitro efficacy assays using human sperm and ovulatory cervical mucus 
• Development of in vitro toxicology studies using cell cultures and vaginal microbiome assays
• Analyze and present data to the research team and to management
• Produce documentation of protocols, procedures and results
