Apply to become a digital ambassador

We are looking for new digital ambassadors for KI's global master's programmes! It is a fun and flexible extra job where you get to help others.

Your role as a digital ambassador

As a digital ambassador your role is to share your student experience with prospective students on our blog or in our social media channels. You will give an authentic and honest perspective on studies at KI, give useful tips, and handle expectations of what it’s like to study at KI.

Who can apply?

To apply you need to be admitted to a global master’s programme at Karolinska Institutet. We are not taking on any new bachelor's students this year, as these roles are already filled.

For the blog roles you need to be a 1st year student, and for the Instagram or Chinese social media roles you can be a 1st or 2nd year student.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for creative, social and self-driven students from a variety of backgrounds, ages and from mixed nationalities. You don’t have to be a native English speaker, just good at communicating in English. You need to be a good storyteller, be service minded, and enjoy teamwork.

Expectations

Apart from creating content, we expect all digital ambassadors to:

  • Attend our digital ambassador training (approximately 9 hours, 4-5 October 2025.)
  • Attend our monthly lunch meetings plus personal/team meetings (1-2 h per month.)
  • Answer questions from prospective students in comments and email.
  • Show prospective students around campus ("Shadowings").
  • Engage in team activities and initiatives.

Other small job opportunities could come up too, for example helping with webinars, presentations for external groups etc. These jobs are paid on top of your regular remuneration.

Payment

All roles are paid 2,250 SEK per month before taxes (approximately 15 h/month).

Shadowings are paid on top of your regular remuneration (350 SEK).

Being a digital ambassador is not just a flexible extra job where you get to help others. You also get to join a wonderful group of people from across KI’s global programmes. We organise social and inspirational events throughout the year.

Training

We offer all new ambassadors an introduction where you will get to know the team, receive training in working with social media, writing, creating content and whatever else you need to know.

This year's training is scheduled for the weekend 4-5 October.
