Target group
PhD Student and Postdoctoral Researchers
About the company
Basic Genomics works to unlock the full potential of RNA research by developing groundbreaking methods that aim to study RNA isoforms at unprecedented accuracy and scale. We are a startup from Karolinska Institute that is developing tools (i.e. library preparation kit and accompanying software) that change how RNA research is performed around the world. Today the primary focus of the company is to make our first products available to scientists and support them as they address their research questions. To do this, we are looking for a PhD student and postdoctoral researcher to develop computational tools for our customers and support them in extracting valuable insights from their data.
The project
During the internship, you will help in the development of new computational tools and functionality that help our users study RNA at the isoform level. You will work closely with our computational and experimental teams to explore new standalone features as well as integrations with third-party tools used in the analysis of RNA sequencing data. Other activities may focus directly on the support of our customers by assisting with data analysis. As such you will be part of the development of our product as well as supporting scientists that are using our product.
