About the company 

Amgen is a research-based pharmaceutical company focused on improving the health of patients with serious diseases. We conduct research and development of biotechnological original medicines and biosimilars in the therapeutic areas of oncology, hematology, osteoporosis, inflammation, cardiology and nephrology. Globally, with have over 25,000 employees, of which approximately 110 work in Sweden. The Swedish office is in Solna, Stockholm.  

The project 

The project contains mapping of a specific rare disease area including disease and treatment landscape, different global/national/regional guidelines and patient care pathways. This is a desktop research with the expected outcome to describe the findings from the above tasks. Presentation format in a power point slide deck and excel file.   

The PhD student may work remotely, i e location not necessarily in the Stockholm area. The time period preferably full time during late Spring (May).  

The candidate 

The candidate has preferably a scientist background, i e pharmacology, biomedicine or similar. Understanding of written Swedish (in order to read guidelines in Swedish etc.) is needed. Knowledge of the Swedish health care system is an advantage.
